Call for Symposia

Submit a symposium proposal to the 27th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, which will be held in Long Beach, CA, June 13-15, 2023, with a hybrid component. The conference theme is Closing the Loop: Chemistry for a Sustainable Future. Proposals are due by October 7, 2022. For more information, please see: https://www.gcande.org.

Ciba Travel Awards in Green Chemistry

Sponsoring U.S. students to attend and participate in an ACS meeting, conference or training program with a significant green chemistry or sustainability component. Up to four awards of up to $2,000 each are available. Applications will open on August 1, 2022 and are due by October 9, 2022. Find out more.

Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship

Supporting the participation of a young international green chemistry scholar in a green chemistry technical meeting, conference or training program. Two awards of up to $2,000 are available. Applications will open on August 1, 2022 and are due by October 9, 2022.  Find out more.

Kenneth G Hancock Memorial Award

Providing national recognition and honor for outstanding student contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry through research and/or studies. Two awards of $1,000 plus up to $1,000 in travel expenses. Applications will open on August 1, 2022 and are due by October 9, 2022. Find out more.

Process

1. Login

Click on the "Login" link to the right and login to the application with your ACS ID. (Don’t have an ACS ID? Don’t worry; you can create one for free on the login page.)

2. Select

Select the Program and confirm your eligibility to apply (if applicable).

3. Create

Create your online application. For a list of required information and attachments, please review the individual program information links listed on the Welcome/Home page. 

4. Apply

Finish the application by completing the required fields in each of the application sections. Applicants can proceed from section to section by selecting Next Tab >> in the middle of the screen.

5. Save

During the Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section.

6. Submit

On completion, save your application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
